I love the city at night. Cool misty nights give way to the warm glow of friendly taverns where young men such as I quickly meet interesting local guys who find me as interesting as I find them. I didn't have a place to stay yet, but I stopped into the cheerful seduction of "Rusty's Place," a busy watering hole near the Latin Quarter where the bus had dropped me off. The minute I entered the place all the talking suddenly hushed to a surprised silence as all eyes turned toward me. I was center stage... His name was Ronnie; he was taller than I and older, but had a boyish charm that I found irresistible. He could see I had too much to drink, and invited me to spend the night as his place. I found myself admiring his collection of some of the most magnificent nude photos I'd seen, and to my surprise...he was the photographer. Maybe it was the drinks...I though maybe I might be someone he'd like to use as a model.
