She discovers that the Duke possesses the legal authority to require unmarried women not of the aristocracy to present themselves naked for his inspection and has the right to impose a year of imprisonment in his dungeons as punishment. Realizing she is in violation of this authority, she reluctantly submits to the Duke's legal jurisdiction, stripping naked and accepting her return to the dungeons. In the dungeons, she is designated as a display slave, awaiting her fate while restrained in Darby cuffs, a collar, and heavy steel leg irons. When her sentence is pronounced, it is for one month, during which she must exhibit herself to the Duke's visitors, focusing on specific techniques of display. She is required to dance while locked in police-issued speedcuffs, still wearing the collar and chains, and remains barefoot and naked in the Duke's dungeon.
