||, Notes ....: This new European blu-ray looks quite different than the one we
|| previously had. Much more colorful (other one is darker and very brown),
the prologue and framing are different etc.
Since it's not coming from a prestigious studio like Criterion
(who would usually do a new transfer from the negatives and have the director
approve or supervise it), we can't be sure which blu-ray is more true to
Von Trier's vision. Therefore it didn't justify a double dip (like in
Breaking the Wave's case). Still, the differences felt worthy of offering
an internal at least.
It still looks like garbage due to being a Dogme 95 inspired movie and shot
on shakey handheld SD DVCams :)
