In each episode of Guy's Grocery Games, four talented chefs compete in a number of challenges as they navigate their way through the aisles of a grocery store, adhering to "e;real-world"e; obstacles. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, each chef has to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs "e;check out,"e; by a rotating panel of judges that includes Melissa d'Arabian, Richard Blais, G. Garvin, Troy Johnson, Catherine McCord, Aarti Sequeira, among others. The last chef standing goes on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!
Episode Summary: Guy Fieri welcomes four previous winners back to Flavortown Market for a non-stop super battle. He gives them each $100 to make a complete steakhouse feast in 60 minutes, but first, they have to participate in a Flavortown whammy auction. Chefs must spend a minimum of $40 on a whammy ingredient they don't really want to avoid getting stuck with a worse item. Whatever they end up with must be used in both their appetizer and entrée. The chef who serves up the best feast will get to shop Flavortown Market for up to $20,000.
