In the year 2037, an enormous wall surrounds Norway, where its people enjoy privileged and sheltered lives in a self-sufficient Nordic paradise. But when a deadly pandemic breaks out, the inhabitants soon realise that the wall intended to protect, is instead holding them prisoner.
Episode Summary: Time is running against Prime Minister Heyerdahl. People are dying, the situation is getting out of control and the bacteria is spreading unstoppably, and there is no progress with the vaccine. Heyerdahl has no other choice: Norway has to ask for outside help. The World Health Organization fears a global pandemic and Norway is now trapped behind its own wall. Esther does everything she can to find Charlie. Only with his help can the biologist defeat the bacterium - and save her now infected son Johannes.
