Together they use their combined 80 years of experience in the motor trade, to find and repair classic cars to their client's brief and budget.Mechanic Sheldon does the deals and sorts the oily bits while bodywork expert Peter makes sure the cars look as good as they should.The pair add desirable modernisations and bring the bodywork up to scratch, delivering the client their dream classic - with hopefully enough budget left over to make a small profit on the job!
Episode Summary: Peter wants a Triumph Herald Convertible, exactly like the one his father bought for him when he first learned to drive.But now rare, and often in poor condition, will £9k be enough for Sheldon to find a good one?Sheldon manages to track down a very original car, with just three previous owners on the logbook, but even before he gets it into the workshop, he loses all the gears.On top of that there is a serious oil leak coming from the rear axle which means the differential has got to come out, and it turns out that split windows in the original hood, cannot be replaced and bodywork expert Peter is going to be left struggling to replace the entire roof. With costs mounting, will all the work payoff, or will Sheldon and Peter be left empty handed?
