However, their partner did not want them to go out and resorted to restraining them by duct taping them to an office chair. Despite expressing their desire to join friends and dance, the individual found themselves unable to move freely due to the restraints on their ankles, calves, knees, thighs, wrists, forearms, and chest.

They were able to wiggle their ankles slightly but could not loosen the tape significantly. To silence their complaints, the partner placed several strips of duct tape over their mouth. Although they managed to loosen some restraints on their thighs and calves, they ultimately struggled unsuccessfully to free themselves. The partner then covered their head with a paper bag that had the words "Stuck & Grounded" written on it. While feeling frustrated, the individual recognized a potential positive aspect of the situation: they would save money and avoid dancing in high heels.
