In each episode of Guy's Grocery Games, four talented chefs compete in a number of challenges as they navigate their way through the aisles of a grocery store, adhering to "e;real-world"e; obstacles. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, each chef has to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs "e;check out,"e; by a rotating panel of judges that includes Melissa d'Arabian, Richard Blais, G. Garvin, Troy Johnson, Catherine McCord, Aarti Sequeira, among others. The last chef standing goes on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!
Episode Summary: Guy Fieri divides six acclaimed chefs into teams of three to compete in a game day food battle fought relay-style in 10-minute shifts. The first chefs shop for a game day feast whose components satisfy three descriptive words selected in a game day draft pick. After each shift, the chefs enter a giant "e;ice box"e; that prevents them from talking to teammates, but Guy gives each chef a chance to communicate non-verbally by holding up big letters and acting out charades. Ultimately, the team that creates the best and most accurate game day plate will go on a relay shopping spree worth up to $15,000!
