After losing her vision, Tess is haunted by the unsolved cases she left behind. Using a hidden camera and earpiece, Sunny remotely steers Tess through life's obstacles – and crimes – as the two challenge preconceptions about ability, trust, and where to draw the line. Inspired by one of the co-creators' experiences with sight loss, viewers join Tess and Sunny as they bring a fresh perspective to solving crime.
Episode Summary: Tess is forced to revisit her legally blind diagnosis when a lawyer leverages her vision loss as grounds to open a case involving her eyewitness testimony, which could put the case and her consulting role with the police at risk. When Bennett and the rest of the department keep Tess at arms' length, she begrudgingly accepts the help of new detective Owen Cooper to solve the case a second time. In an attempt to work through the mounting pressure, Sunny begins sessions with her new therapist.
