Title: The Ecstasy Girls (1979)
Summary: The film follows Jamie Gillis, an out-of-work actor who has become a gigolo. His former agent, Charlie, who now acts as his pimp, sends him on an assignment. At a party hosted by J.C. Church, Gillis seeks acting work from Charlie but is dismissed. In frustration, he insults a guest and later sleeps with Charlie's girlfriend, Desiree Cousteau. The next day, J.C. proposes a scheme to Gillis: he must gather sexual secrets about J.C.'s sister, Madelyn, and her four nieces to help J.C. disinherit them and inherit their wealthy, dying brother's fortune. Gillis enlists aspiring filmmakers George and Archie to assist in seducing the women and filming the encounters. As he seduces Diane, the kind twin, Gillis falls in love and decides against framing her. Instead, he confesses to Madelyn, and they turn the tables on J.C. by revealing compromising footage of him. They also inform J.C. that his brother will survive, preventing J.C. from receiving any inheritance. Ultimately, the story concludes with the characters forming a new family dynamic and collaborating on a film together. Additionally, a 26-minute documentary titled "Ladies Do It!" features interviews with actresses from the 1970s Californian hardcore film industry, discussing the era’s shooting conditions, censorship, and industry differences.
Content Note: The film contains explicit sexual scenes, including various sexual acts and themes of BDSM.
