Ecstasy (1991)
Ecstasy (1991)
The film follows Bill Dollars, a porn writer who, while driving to a secluded retreat to work on a script for adult movie star Desiree, suffers a car accident. After being unconscious for several days, he finds himself in the care of his obsessive fan, Norma Bates.
Norma, dissatisfied with Bill's decision to kill off her favorite character, Desiree, in his final script, holds him hostage to rewrite the story so that Desiree survives. The movie features several supporting cast members, including Candace Heart, Missy Warner, Randy West, and Tom Byron. Written by Cash Markham, the film includes commentary regarding the lack of respect for porn writers, which is highlighted through snide remarks in the dialogue. While the production values are commendable, the pacing is slow, making it feel dull at times. The erotic scenes are somewhat effective, although the lead actress, Savannah, appears detached in her performance. Directed by Scotty Fox, the film contains explicit adult content and features a signature scene involving two women and a mechanical device.
