"Ms. Magnificent," originally titled "Superwoman," was released in 1979, following the success of "Superman." D.C. Comics and Warner Bros. took legal action against the film's producer, Damon Christian, due to its parody nature. After a lengthy court process, the judge ruled in favor of D.C., leading to significant edits in the film, including the removal of the character's name and logo. The film was retitled "Ms. Magnificent" after considering "Ultrawoman."Desiree Cousteau stars as the titular heroine, who possesses flight, super-strength, and enhanced senses, but is vulnerable to a glowing green mineral. She leads a double life as an investigative reporter, working alongside colleagues Lois and Clark. The plot introduces an alien invader named Cretia Borgia, accompanied by henchmen in colorful attire, who arrive on Earth in a supermarket parking lot. Key scenes include Ms. Magnificent saving a potential suicide victim and intervening when Lois is coerced into sexual activity for information. The film includes cut scenes, notably one involving a threatened fisting, and features a subplot where male henchmen initially capture Ms. Magnificent but later release her. The villains ultimately capture Lois and Clark, leading to a confrontation where Ms. Magnificent is weakened by a glowing green object.

The film concludes with a chaotic escape involving tourists and a hint at a sequel that was never produced.

The cast includes Desiree Cousteau, Holly McCall, Sharon Kane, Jessie St. James, and others. The film has survived in bootleg form despite claims that all copies were destroyed.
