Alice in Wonderland: An X-rated musical comedy

"Alice in Wonderland," also known as "Alice in Wonderland: An X-Rated Musical Comedy," is a 1976 pornographic musical film directed by Bud Townsend, inspired by Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland." The film features a cast that includes Terri Hall, Bree Anthony, and Kristine DeBell and was released theatrically in the USA on December 10, 1976. It was later screened at the Grand Illusion Cinema in Seattle, Washington, on May 26–27 during an event called Satellites 2000: Screens From Outer Space. The film is a softcore pornographic adaptation that centers on the erotic awakening of a young woman named Alice, portrayed by Kristine DeBell, who is a librarian exploring a fantastical Wonderland filled with adult interpretations of familiar characters. Notably, many actresses in the film were former Playboy models.

There are two versions of the film: an R-rated cut featuring softcore content, and an X-rated cut with hardcore material. The R-rated version is generally preferred by fans who feel that the hardcore elements detract from the film's intended lighthearted tone.
