The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, the technical aspects show some nice effort. The audio is clear and well balanced, but there are a few very minor background noises. The video, as usual, is presented in anamorphic widescreen. It's nicely clear, but there are a few shadows which do interfere with the action at times.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu nicely works from a little minor animation to some boxcover stills for an okay first impression. The chapter menu is a touch generic letting you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number, but also lets you choose a scene based on the name of each girl as she starts her scene.

The Feature

The sex shots seem to focus on the penetration as much as the legs, but the angles rarely give a good look at Audrey's face as she's getting fucked. I love that Robby is trying to pick positions and angles that show off legs for this release, but for me to really get into a scene I want to see that the girl is really enjoying it and the positions here rarely gave me that feeling. This isn't a bad scene, but a few minor changes could have made it much stronger.

Scene 2 – Kapri Styles and Chris Charming

Jack's Leg Show is a slightly above average release. There's some definite high points to the movie, such as the chemistry in Maya and Chris's scene and seeing Teagan's ass bouncing around in her scene, but overall Jack's Leg Show just didn't grab me like most of the rest of Robby's work. It's not the leg aspect that held it back, either, as I was really looking forward to watching Robby and his camera ogle them. The problem here was that the movie was just too limited in a couple ways. The first way was the sex itself. I don't mind watching an anal, group, or lesbian-free movie now and then, but here it seemed like most every scene went from leg worship to oral with a footjob mixed in to missionary, doggie, and the cowgirls. I've been so busy lately that I had to take three nights to get through this one (instead of doing it all in one sitting like I normally do) and even spreading it over three nights I was struck by how similar the scenes were to each other. My other problem is that camera work. Robby pays some nice attention to the legs, but he just gets way too close way too often for my tastes here. Rather than going with plenty of distance shots with the occasional close-up mixed in like I normally expect from him, the scenes seemed to be reversed with close-up after close-up of the penetration of either person's face with a few distance shots mixed in. It gives much of the movie a very different feel, and because of it left me just not caring about a lot of the action even when there was some good chemistry. Jack's Leg Show isn't a bad movie, but it isn't anywhere close to Robby D.'s best.

There's a decent leg focus, but Robby gets way too close way too much for my tastes. The technical aspects are pretty good, but held back by a few shadows. Sadly, there's no real effort put into the extras to help out the overall DVD. This is an okay release.

Note to Digital Playground: There's some nice ideas here, so I hope you get things polished up a little more for Jack's Leg Show 2.

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are nicely done, as usual with Digital Playground. The audio is very nicely balanced, including Robby's talking with the performers as “Jack”, but there actually are a couple minor background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen, and as usual, looks great. It's well lit and clear, and the camera work is nicely smooth.

The Feature

Jack's Leg Show 3 leaves me with some mixed feelings. Taken as just a porno, it's good and a very nice couples friendly release. The cast is good looking, there's very nice chemistry in the scenes, and the setups are light and fun. Taken as a leg fetish release, however, it comes up a bit short. The final two scenes pay some very nice attention to the legs and feet of the girls, but the other scenes all just seem to have girls with nice legs and barely pay them any attention at all. Veronique easily gets the most leg attention of the first three girls by having her thighs and calves fucked, but after that they're all but forgotten. I watched Jack's Leg Show 3 with more of the foot and leg fetish in mind, and for that reason it came up a little short for me compared to what I normally expect from Robby D. (who I consider one of the best directors out there right now largely due to the variety of styles he's able to do well). If you're somebody who just wants girls with great legs and a few looks at them, then Jack's Leg Show 3 will probably work much better for you than it did for me. This is a pretty good release, but I would have liked a lot stronger leg focus.

The technical aspects are well done, but there's unfortunately no effort put into the extras. This isn't a bad release, but it can't keep up with what Digital Playground normally puts out.

The movie's good, but doesn't quite have the spark I normally expect from Robby D. The technical aspects are nicely done, but there's basically no effort put into the extras. This is a good movie on a DVD that could have used a little more effort.

Note to Digital Playground: With the great job you do on your behind the scenes featurettes, their absence on releases like this really stands out.
