As he and his friend Tim, along with other attendees, begin to undergo a transformation, Warren gradually realizes the camp's true, sinister purpose: to convert them from boys into girls.

Throughout the story, Warren grapples with the changes imposed upon him, including the potential for identity loss and mind control. He faces challenges that push him to confront his evolving identity, including the possibility of falling in love with a man.
