Restoration Notes
This is the Blue Underground UHD. Sourced from a brand new 2020 4K restoration supervised by director Harry Kümel. A fantastic trippy erotic vampire horror film shot in Belgium and starring Delphine Seyrig as Elizabet Bathory, a Hungarian countess who was executed over 300 years ago for bathing in the blood of sacrificed female virgins. She and her younger mate/slave Ilona (Andrea Rau) arrive at an empty hotel in Ostend, Belgium. There they meet Stefan (John Karlen) and Valerie (Danielle Ouimet), a young married couple on a honeymoon who plan to use the ferry to England the next morning. Elizabet is fascinated and attracted to Valerie, and does whatever she can to persuade and manipulate the couple not to leave Ostend.
