As the neighborhood prepares to welcome its first residents, a newly opened clinic is poised to cater to their healthcare needs, unbeknownst to the tenants. The narrative centers on Logan Thurman, a teenage boy eager to lose weight. He finds himself in the care of a doctor with a strong disdain for men, who exploits Logan's naivety and uses pharmaceuticals to manipulate him. Logan's father, Bert, attempts to intervene but soon discovers that the doctor’s animosity extends beyond his son. Additionally, the story follows Colin and Elliot Finch, two young men who devise a scheme to deceive a local genetic scientist. They disguise themselves as mother and daughter, luring a naive middle-aged single father into their trap. However, they are unaware of how deeply they will become entrenched in their assumed identities. This book is the first installment in a series, with some narratives spanning multiple volumes, while the main storyline is completed within this book.
