[Sick Puppy Press (James J. Craft, rocketdave)] Sissy Sweets aka I, Candy [Illustrated eBook]
"Sissy Sweets," also known as "I, Candy," is a story by James J. Craft, featuring color illustrations by rocketdave. It is part of the "Tales of Transformation" series. The narrative follows Carl, who initially has no desire to be a baker, but feels pressured by his father to enter the baking business. Although Carl finds success in the financial world, his lifestyle eventually collapses, coinciding with the death of his father, who bequeaths the bakery to him. However, his father, aware of Carl’s unreliability, imposes conditions in the will that prevent Carl from selling the bakery for a year. Instead, a third party is appointed to manage the business, and unknown to Carl, he is destined to play a crucial role in its revival as the new face of the bakery. The story explores themes of slow change, hormonal transformation, and personal reinvention, underscored by a salon makeover. The book spans 45 pages and includes 15 color illustrations, formatted at 6x9 inches. Additionally, the cover of the book was not included in the official PDF released by Sick Puppy Press but was later uploaded to a DeviantArt page. Originally intended as a print publication with glossy covers, the shift to digital sales has led to the covers being less accessible. The publisher now provides large versions of the covers for download.
