Note : This is a personal favorite, an underrated gem, and one of the very few movies to successfully convey cosmic, Lovecraftian horror on film. It does occasionally get bogged down with melodrama, but the stuff that works is so eerie and otherworldly that it hardly matters. The shallow-focus, weirdly angled, swooping cinematography with constant reflections, distortions, and pairs of menacing red lights lurking out of focus almost constantly is also both beautiful and unsettling. If you're a fan of the creepy, the unexplained, and the completely alien and unknowable, check this out. The director's commentary is also interesting, and the overall image quality is quite impeccable.
