Story Summary: The narrative unfolds in a world where three dominant civilizations coexist: humans, Makai (demons), and Juujinkai (half-man, half-beast). Every 3,000 years, a supreme entity known as the Choujin (Overfiend) emerges to restore balance among these realms. In contemporary Japan, a Juujinkai named Amano Jyaku discovers the Choujin's presence within a high school student, Tatsuo Nagumo. Amano, along with his sister Megumi and their companion Kuroko, must protect Nagumo and his girlfriend, Akemi Ito, from the Makai. The Makai mistakenly perceive Nagumo as a threat, believing him to be an evil force intent on destruction.
