Kara no Shoujo (The Girl in the Shell) is an adults only point-and-click detective visual novel, developed by Innocent Grey and published by MangaGamer. It's setting is Japan in the 1950s, and it is a purely realistic story.

You play as a great detective trying to solve a case of vicious serial-killings in your town.

This is a great visual novel where you are faced with many choices that really seem to matter. The game requires you to think rather than mindlessly click through the images on the screen and the art is amazing for this type of game as well. This is probably one of the best games of this genre if you're looking to challenge yourself while also looking at some great 2D animated nudity.

This game has several play styles that change based on the part of the story that you are playing. There is the usual text dialog choices when speaking to other characters or making decisions. There is also a 'detective mode' where you must investigate crime scenes by clicking interesting parts of the background scene. You also keep a journal; here you will see all of the facts and clues that you uncovered. You will need to refer to this throughout your play-through to piece together the horrible truth.

There are many sexy characters to investigate and several steamy locations to visit. Depending on how you play, you could walk in on your sister taking a bath, get involved with some lesbian schoolgirls, receive a BJ from your favorite bartender, or get kinky with some nuns.
